How the heck did that happen?

I received a comment overnight asking about my Wordpress theme. It seems that my theme had reverted back to the default nastiness and my delightful user interface was gone.

It turns out it wasn’t a big deal at all because the theme had just been turned off, so re-enabling my custom theme reset all back to normal. One has to wonder how this happened, however… things that go away by themselves come back by themselves.

Maybe it’s time I changed my WordPress admin password, hmmm?

  1. Heh, heh, I bet you selected the old theme by accident on the control panel; I’ve done that before.

For all its usefullness, Wordpress is a complicated and cranky software. I’ve noticed it takes ages to save a post on my server; all those little includes and widgets straining the CPU, I dare say.

  2. I’m still not done studying the wordpress software completely, just learning to set up basic stuff with a friend’s blog, i should be done in a month or so, but then you say WP is confusing for a seasoned WP user like you, can’t imagine how my learning experience is going to turn out.

  3. Although Wordpress may be a pain in the rear sometimes…it is by far the easiest platform and most complete in my opinion for beginners to jump right in a create a nice looking blog.
