Warming the bench for awhile

I think I’m over the dating game. It’s just too damn tiring. And such a drain on productivity. I accomplished more than usual this week AND found time to watch several hours of television. Well, not quite television (yay iTunes downloads), but it was nonetheless pointless entertainment. It was, naturally, completely fun and utterly relaxing.

I’m serious. I’ve told the last six girls that hit on me that I’m “temporarily off the market”. Or I just acted like a dork and said “really nice to meet you, see you around” instead of cinching the lead.

It was actually really nice. I worked out a solid 5 days this week, actually cooked a couple of meals, caught up on some work, went wine tasting with my best friend, had sake with my cousin, debated sexuality (no, I’m still not gay. sorry boys!) with another friend I hadn’t seen in ages, and just… enjoyed (that’s “hella maintaining” in NorCal parlance ;-) ). Heck, I even kinda sorta made up with my brother, had an actual one-on-one, alcohol-free conversation with my roommate, played a video game with yet another old friend, took my mom to dinner, and went roller skating with my little sister. Peaceful, calm, low-stress, and happy.
